Job Opening: Business Manager
Location: Surrey School District
Wage: Salary (Depending on Experience)

Surrey Public School is seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and experienced individual to serve as our Business Manager. This role is essential in supporting the district’s financial operations, including budgeting, payroll, purchasing, and reporting. We are looking for someone with strong accounting skills and a commitment to serving the educational community.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day financial operations
- Prepare and monitor district budgets
- Oversee payroll, accounts payable/receivable
- Ensure compliance with state and federal financial regulations
- Work closely with the superintendent and school board on financial planning
- May require flexible hours to accommodate School board meetings.
Qualifications:
- Experience in school finance or a similar role preferred
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, accounting, and reporting
- Proficiency in relevant software
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Degree in accounting, or related field is a plus

Surrey Public School looking for a Full-Time (9.75 month – 2 weeks before + 1 week after) 7-12 Grade School Counselor for the 2025-2026 School Year
 The 7-12th Grade School Counselor plays a critical role in supporting students’ academic, career, and personal development.
Student support including these key responsibilities:
- Individual student/family meetings to support students’ academic, career, and personal development
- Monthly lessons including but not limited to career interest inventories and 4-year plans
- Class schedule creation and monitoring of student progress towards graduation
- Managing online and dual credit students, their scheduling, progress, and tracking
- Choice Ready guidance, grant writing, planning, tracking, and state reporting
- Helping students prepare for college and careers via State Scholarship advisement, job shadows, career fairs, etc.
- PowerSchool and ND DPI STARS data management, collection, and reporting
- Coordinating standardized assessments such as WorkKeys, ACT, and ASVAB

Surrey Public School looking for a Full-Time Special Education Teacher for the 2025-2026 School Year

Essential Functions
- Develop, implement, and regularly update IEPs for assigned students in compliance with federal, state, and district regulations.
- Provide direct instruction in academic, behavioral, and life skills, tailored to each student’s individual needs and learning style.
- Modify general education curriculum and assessments as needed to accommodate student learning needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, families, and service providers to support students’ educational goals.
- Monitor student progress toward IEP goals and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, observations, and documentation.
- Employ a variety of instructional techniques and technologies to reach students with diverse learning needs.
- Foster a safe, positive, and respectful classroom environment that supports learning and student self-advocacy.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, parent conferences, and staff development activities.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and ethical requirements related to special education services.
- Schedule and supervise paraprofessional educator team.
 Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education
- Valid ND State Teaching License in with Special Education
- Knowledge of IDEA, ADA, Section 504, and other relevant legislation.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to develop trusting relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
- Experience working with students across multiple disability categories and grade levels.
